review 1: I'm reading the 6-book bundle which I got for the ridiculously low price of .99 from AllRomance book site. So far loving it. Sexy, dirty talking alpha Puma shifters who adore their woman. Instant attraction, tender and panty-dropping gorgeous. Complete female fantasy fodder :)The novellas have ended with cliffhangers but all the books are available (as far as I can tell) and affordable, so considering how much I like this series after the first two, I know I'm in for the series.Raphael #1Ashe's mind has been washed of the one-night stand she had with sexy puma-shifter Raphael. It wouldn't be so bad but she's pregnant with no memory of how it happened. On top of that her drunkard mother has thrown her out.Raphael finds her and there is no denying their connection. Ashe... more, who's grown up in the bayou has heard the stories of magical creatures living in the swamps but coming face to face with Raphael and his powers, proves the stories are true. The groundwork is laid for the mystery of who is after Ashe and her unborn baby, which promises to be a much bigger threat to all the Panter/puma shifters. Ashe and Raphael's bond is pretty much solidified and I like that there wasn't a lot of resistance for her to accept him.Parish #2Oh Parish, yum. I don't know if anyone is going to live up to you, you are THAT yummy.Parish is sent to find a human doctor to care for Ashe during her pregnancy. A human/shifter birth has never happened before, and Ashe is anxious of what to expect.Julia has just delivered her last baby at the hospital where her unfaithful ex has been promoted and just wants to start over. Parish takes one look at Julia and knows she's his. He doesn't like humans after one killed his sister but he's never responded to a female this way.He whisks her away to the Wildlands and she is confused by the events and the knowledge that the supernatural is real, but is drawn to her self-appointed body guard. She knows logically she should leave but doesn't really want to. Ashe, also want her stay but assures her no one will force her. And, oh Parish and that filthy mouth, day-um. How can someone talk so dirty and still be so romantic and tender. Like I said, love him.The story ends with another attempt on Ashe and her unborn baby who survive but a cliffhanger regarding the after affects on Ashe.
review 2: I like these books for the fact that they are quick and easy to read although they do obviously run from one to the other creating a bit of a cliff hanger at the end of each one.Raphael was well written and aside from the woefully overused name of the lead male a good read. Quick paced and yet not too fast in the sense of the relationship developing, I enjoyed it.I liked Parish more, whether that was the writing or the fact that Parish is a more aggressive personality which suits me better I'm not sure. I really liked this book until just about the last page where the cliff hanger left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not so keen on books that leave me feeling bad about where the characters are at and very unsure that I'm going to like where the storyline is going. Ugh. Up until then I enjoyed it. less
