review 1: About the Book:One of my two favorites in the series. Certainly the most action of any of the books in the series, which really added to its enjoyment. The H/H are both strong characters that are equally capable and ready to make sacrifices for each other. Kincade is devoted to keeping her safe, and for a everyday girl Jayde was really strong and dependable. Even if you don't read the entire series, I highly recommend this installment and Harrier's Healer.Series Review:The entire series deserves more of 3.5-4 star. The heroes and heroines in all the books are really well done and I like all the characters. So there's nothing wrong exactly with the other books, and I enjoyed them, but there is a definite lack of action for novels feature SEAL Team members. Also, the series ... morerapidly falls into kind of a defined pattern where the H/H fall in love, but the Heroine for some reason can't believe the Hero is committed no matter what the hero says. There is always some sort of break up/get back together just before the end, and none of the woman seem to get it until the guy actually says the words "marry me". It gets a bit tiresome having the hero work so hard for the woman to believe him. But other than that, great series.
review 2: This romance starts off so strong and keeps it up until the last quarter of the book. Jayde and Tyson are interesting people though it would have been nice to get a bit more info on Tyson, it's not like they didn't have time to talk about it. Speaking of talking, the conflict between the two if you can call it that should not have been one at all because they had so much time to talk to one another. Even if Ms. Burke wanted to let it continue the way she did, a simple phone conversation should have taken care of it. Then there's Jayde's family issue at the end of the novel, I just didn't get it. The said reason for the family's behavior especially her father just didn't work for me because it only brough up more questions. Regardless of the problems with the last quarter of the novel, I still enjoyed it, I just can't give it four stars. less
