review 1: I don’t know if I’m becoming too picky about Urban Fantasy books these days, but there was really nothing about this book that I enjoyed. The world building is shaky and not well thought out. Several times, I was left wondering what the heck was going on or trying to figure out what all this Touchstone, Keystone stuff was about. It was just too vague. Sadly, the characters aren’t any better.Pang did her best to make Abby come off as witty and tough, and I’ll admit that she did make me chuckle at times. But overall, she feels like a pale imitation of other female heroines who pull off the badass thing much better. I got a similar feeling when it came to her love interest Bastian. I’ve read books where I wanted to kick myself for being attracted to the bad boy, but... more there wasn’t really anything to be attracted to when it came to Bastian. Again, Alison Pang made a good attempt, but he just didn’t do it for me. And several times towards the end, he came off like an incredible douche bag. And the fact that Abby so easily put up with him and his crap made me lose some respect for her.Also, a horny unicorn? Really? I’m sure the author meant for it to be quirky and funny, but it just seemed gross to me. It got even worse when I found out that he could talk and just pretended he was a simple animal so he could get away with going through her underwear drawer and humping her leg. Yuck.Other characters seemed to come and go throughout the book without much explanation as to what Abby’s relationship to them was, so I was hard to really care about any of them. Anyway, I don’t think I’ll be reading the next book.
review 2: Abby is seriously in trouble she has a missing fairy princess and incubus looking for his sister and seems he will do anything to rescue her and Abby is in the way ,too bad he is so hot it has Abby fantasising about the things she wants to do to him and he is as affected her,things get from bad to worse when the fairy princess bodyguard starts suspecting Abby of being involved in the other disappearances as well and the magical unicorn she inherited is very attracted to butt's and anyones will do less
