The Jones family are drunks, benefit scroungers and no strangers to the inside of a prison. In his twilight years, he lives to pass on his knowledge which Jenna absorbs with relish. At first, he’s delighted with her historical project. Yet once fear grips the local community and more murders occur, it appears that Jenna’s research has revealed hidden secrets which someone would prefer stay buried.
When another body is discovered, Lasser’s convictions are thrown into turmoil. Someone is playing a vicious game, someone with a burning hatred for the Radfield family. Lasser finds himself enmeshed in a tangled web of deceit as he tries to unravel the dark, twisted secrets that bind two families. These secrets stretch back over four decades, inspiring blackmail and murder which ensnare the innocent as well as the guilty…
