review 1: The thing I like most about this book is the uneasy way about both Sky and Barrett. Each is uncomfortable in their own way, learning each other's moods, and subtle hints at feelings. When they find their groove, it's great. I loved the story in it's simplicity. There's nothing complicated or overly dramatic. The story does not take a wild turn and I appreciate that so much. Sometimes a book can just be about two men getting to know each other, learning to trust and break down walls, open up about their pasts. So, I'm really glad I read this and didn't skip over it to get the the 4th book in the series like I was tempted to do.
review 2: I have to say that I preferred the first book to this one. This is far too formulaic - boy meets boy, boy and boy fall in lov
... moree, they have some difficulty that's resolved and they all live happily ever after. Both guys in this story had great back-stories full of sadness and angst. But, their stories are told quite matter-of-factly but have only minor impact on the overall story.I enjoyed the story for what it was, but it felt like large portions of the middle were missing. They barely knew they were in love and the story was wrapping up. It needed more. less
