review 1: 3.5 rounded up. I liked this story Cole had a lot of diffrent issues to deal with and Jermey slowly helps them with them. They make a very nice and at time sexy couple Most of my like of the book comes from them together and not from the angsty story line. For all the issues in this book from major abuse to hording I just did feel alot for either one of them. They were dealt with way too easily and barely grazed over. Still this was a very enjoyable read and I really wouldn't mind reading another book with these two.
review 2: I liked this well enough to finish it in one day but it definitely left me frustrated. I felt as if the whole book was building toward a confrontation with Martin, maybe involving some police and blood and stuff. As I was reading I t... morehought, well, Martin better get on the stick and show up in Franklin, so I looked at my progress in the book and realized I only had 10% left. What?! And then, bam, it's over, almost with a whimper. The resolution was way too pat for me. I absolutely wanted Cole to get "better" but it was almost like the author was given 170 pages in which to write a book and at page 155 suddenly realized some loose ends needed to be tied up. less
