review 1: I am just so frustrated with this book. I loved Dark Secrets but this one just fell flat. The first half was decent and the last few chapters felt rushed and jumbled. The entire book contradicts itself at times. I'm just not happy. I have developed a love hate relationship with nearly every character. Twists and turns in a character are always welcomed. However, in this book, EVERY character felt like they had multiple personality disorder! I got whiplash with Jason... I have already bought the other books in the series and I will finish them. I just hope they aren't as painful to read as this one was.
review 2: I only read up to 70% but I can't seriously take anymore.. I could cope with the constant inner-monologue when her confusion was between just David and... more Mike because I could understand that, and after everything she's been through you have to give her a brake, but OMG, I can't take anymore!!! And after reading the reviews for the next book I just thought "Whats the point?" I happen to believe when you use certain one liners, such as "One True Love" and "Soul mate" and "I'll die if you leave me" it happens to actually mean something.I loved the first two books, I love a little tragedy with a good romance, as long as it ends appropriately. But this? This is a mess.. I couldn't bare to live with myself if I thought like Ara, so I'm not wasting anymore time listening to someone elses messed up, pointless thoughts. Really disapointed.The story, as you can read above, I'm not happy with. But, A.M. Hudson is still a brilliant writer. She has lovely poetic fluency and her descriptive skills are fantastic. For this reason the book gets 2* instead of 0*. less
