review 1: I like how the story addresses Andrew’s insecurities about his aged and imperfect body. It’s sweet and adds that much-needed sense of being real. The majority of shifter stories seem to assume that perfection is automatically sexy and that’s simply not true.The dynamics between the three of them are also very cute.I’m not usually a big fan of threesomes, but for me these guys really work in combination with each other, each bringing a different quality into the mix. I don’t even mind that we don’t get Marlen’s POV until the very end. Somehow, despite the story being brief and the viewpoints mostly limited, the characterization comes through fine.And it ends on a note of genuine amusement, too.Lovely!
review 2: I have to say out of all the supernat... moreural mates this story really tugged at my heart! At first in the series you don't know what to make of Andrew. But as you read through all the books that lead up to this one, you realize that Andrew loved his son a lot. He would done anything for him. Then marlen and Chen come into the picture. I love the way the wrens treat Andrew. I just love all three together. I always wish the books are longer. This books was more about outside forces then there relationship. But I still loved the book a lot. less
