review 1: I have had more fun plucking my eyebrows and it's less painful than reading a book that is too long. I had to force myself to keep reading. I basically kept reading because I truly believed there was going to be some point to it all. Considering the entirity of the thing, it could have been a short story or novella easily. As a novella, I would have given it 3 maybe 4. It was never gonna be 5 because there was not enough brogue and the two main characters did not interact enough. I would read Amber Scott again because she has a sweet touch as romance goes. I just didn't feel there was enough meat for a full length book. On the plus, the characters were interesting and the sex was hot.
review 2: This was a “light read” that I enjoyed fairly well. I
... morekept reading it and finished it in only a couple of days because the plot interested me. The romance was reasonably plausible and of course the source of evil in the end was the enchanted cat, Finn. I liked that it had a strong-willed protagonist, Breanne. Like other e-books that I have downloaded free, there were numerous editing errors, which I did find annoying. I learned to just read it with my “mind’s eye” rather than strictly by what I saw on the page. Overall, an enjoyable read. less
