review 1: Kindle freebie, series, paranormal romanceSadie has dealt with her mother’s madness all of her life and had a brush with her own. Elijah, a seeker, hides his wings form humans, but Sadie can see them. Mrs. Scott has built an interesting world that I am ready to read more about; build on, please! Sadie deals fairly well with being thrown into what could be considered her mother’s nightmare. I want Heather and Jen’s stories, but next up is Lyric, according to previews. I am ready, and want to know more about each paranormal/immortal and what they can do. Elijah: hot “angel” type, wings anyway, frustratingly closemouthed.Sadie: compellingly dealing with her inner demons.Love scenes: I got almost as frustrated as Sadie at the lack of completion! review 2: OK I'm still trying to read this book even though I started it sometime ago. I've really struggled with it. I've not connected with any of the characters and in fact the two main characters have continued to annoy me. I felt at times that I'd missed an earlier book especially at the start when Elijah is talking to his compatriots. And at times it didn't make sense.I'm not quite sure whether I will be able to finish this book - apart from reading the end of it. I don't think I fancy reading the rest of the series. less
