review 1: This is one of my favorites. This book, is one of the best Andrew Klavan books EVER (in my opinion). I was on edge through the whole book! I feel VERY strongly about how phenomenal this book really is. Honestly, do not judge this book by its cover; but even the cover draws you in like a fish on a reel! I don't want to spoil anything for new readers, but if you have not read this, you must! This is a must read book that is way better than any TV show or movie ever created. You will glide page after page, chapter after chapter. It is no horror, unlike "Nightmare City", also by Andrew Klavan. It is defiantly a thriller, not Stephen King thriller, but on-edge-never-knowing-what-will-happen-next kind of thriller. This is the book that got me really excited about reading. After ... moreI went through this in about a week, I decided I loved reading! Anyone can read this book, but it does have some parts where violence is necessary to add momentum to the storyline. I read it at 13 years old, and it was fine for me; but everyone's different.
review 2: I really enjoyed the action packed, on the edge of your seat intensity of this book. However it was an extremely predictable action movie type of book. Klavan was very good at describing the scene & the emotions behind them, but I found his actual writing to be juvenile. Perhaps it was done on purpose trying to enact the thoughts of a naive teenage boy? I don't know, but I felt that it was writing in its simplest form. I found myself to be very disappointed with the ending. I just felt there should of been more. I kept wanting to go back to read it only to remember Id already finished it! less
