review 1: Firstly, please note that this book is VERY short. I read it in two minutes, at most. The 'story' features two people being chased by ten zombies. On each couple of pages is a (fairly decent) comic-style illustration and a rhyming verse describing how each zombie is eliminated from the pursuit. That's basically it.If you accept that this is a novelty gift type book for the zombie lover who has everything, then it does its job. However, unless the price comes down a lot then it could be a bit disappointing. I wouldn't think that many people would read this book many times.This book gets one star for the illustrations and one for the ending, but that's about all that's going for it.
review 2: This is a fun little read. For some reason I have been killing time at ... morework looking for parody children's books and I came across this one for .99$ on Kindle. Well my love of Zombies and anything funny caused me to buy it. I probably should have left it be, because it is a picture book for grown ups and I read it in under a min, but the laughter I got out of it really brightened my day. As a father who has read these types of books over and over to my own child, I really got a kick out of this Parody. There is only a sentence or two on each page as the zombies are killed, I couldn't help but chuckle at the clever rhymes, and the kid like art work. I wouldn't recommend buying this for the list price of 9.95$ hardback or even 5.99 Kindle, but if you can grab it on sale it is worth the read. I am sure when my son gets old enough to appreciate zombie humor, (he's my kid, of course he will be as warped as I am) he will enjoy this just as much which will justify my whim purchase. less
