review 1: The second book was ok. No where near good. There was a lot of rape and woman are property. I did notice the racism in this book as well. She made it seem like whites are good and any other color is bad and will turn out to be a rapist. It is disturbing. I also did not like how the survivors in the camp are always referred to as "sheep", but in the same sentence wants equality. I live in Nebraska and she made it seem like Nebraskans are backwoods hillbillies...we don't talk like that. I do like the author's idea, it was badly executed. I'm not sure if I want to continue the series after this. I only read the second book since it came free with the first.
review 2: I'm actually going to rate this book a little lower then the other ones, since there was so many s
... moreexual predators that it was a little tiresome. I get that the author thinks most men are evil and will turn into brutal thugs if they were allowed, but I just don't feel the same. I wish she would have kept her predators down a little, and I felt that so far this book was the worst offender. Other then that I stayed entertained and kept on reading. We're just going to have to hope the author builds some more confidence in the males of our species, and makes more then just a few into good guys. less

Love this series. Writing is a bit rough at times and hard to follow but the story is great!
