A friend of mine got me into this series about two years ago, and I have been meaning to pick this book up for a while now. (I am sure I irritated her whenever she asked if I had read it yet and always turned around and said ‘No’, with a slight cringe). It wasn’t that I didn’t pick it up because I wasn’t enjoying the series – I was, I just didn’t seem to be in the mood for this style of writing and genre.
Do I regret not picking it up sooner… YES! This has to be the cutest of the Ransom series so far!
Having had previous dealings with both of the main characters in this story there was a bit more background: Levi, having been a major part of the Ransom pack at the beginning of the series only for it to end in tears; Karen, best friend to Paige, has a history of falling for the wrong guys and she has one on her trail still.
These two are so cute as great friends, but when they get the chance to be each other’s support in a situation which neither of them thought they would find themselves in, they are just adorable.
This is an up-lifting story that I couldn’t put down. As always Rachel knows how to make you feel irritation and love for a character, and she also knows how to write a complete player of a guy!
It is great to get to see how the other couples cope after their story has ‘been and gone’. They are all just so loveable, however I do believe this is my favourite so far!
With a quick pace, constant drama and a vision into possible stardom, you feel part of the plot line and travel along with Levi and Karen.
If you haven’t started this series, and you like an easy to read YA romance with a bit of Rock Band sprinkled on top, this is the series for you.
