Though dealing with tough topics such as loss and despair, the book charms you throughout and you find yourself totally enchanted. A quick and heart-warming read.
review 2: Un libro veloce e con poche pretese.Dopo aver amato il primo libro di quest'autrice "La libreria dei nuovi inizi", avevo aspettative alte su questo secondo romanzo. Aspettative che in parte sono state deluse.Ho amato lo stile fresco dell'autrice, ma non sono riuscita ad entrare in sintonia con il personaggio di Lily, non sono riuscita ad apprezzare la sua storia come avevo fatto con quella di Jasmine. Ho trovato troppe scene banali e frettolose e la "magia" che caratterizzava il primo libro sembra andata perduta, viene salvata esclusivamente dalla splendida ambientazione dell'isola che è riuscita a colpirmi ancora e dai capitoli raccontati dal punto di vista della gatta, che sono simpatici e originali e più emozionanti che quelli di Lily.Sono delusa perché mi aspettavo molto di più dopo quello splendido esordio, ma non demordo. Se verrà pubblicato in Italia un altro suo libro, io lo comprerò con tanta speranza di potermi appassionare ed emozionare di nuovo. less
