review 1: I was an alien cat toy... yeah.. you wished... I feel the title is really undeserved.My opinion: a wonderful start, a promising universe.. maybe.. but I am not so sure about the political contaminated ending part. However, the most distressing was the foul language and endless pages with baby talk.. whereas I don't know.. see the Amyr warrior and Kvothe in The wise man's fear.. it makes a difference in respect to language learning bariers...All in all, an easy reading.
review 2: It was okey. I like my lovers a little less hairy and the abuse detailed, not skimmed over as it was here. I like a gory story with a happy ending and this one wasn't, it could have been but wasn't. Still I enjoyed reading it and I even got a little emotional at the ending. I haven't re... moread any Ann Somerville before, have one or two on my E-reader though. I liked her writing but felt a little cheated on the violence. There is rape and abuse and we don't get to be a part of it, just read about it after it happened. less
