review 1: Not my usual type of book - too heavy and full of the real stuff I struggle with. Yet despite that (or perhaps because of it), I did enjoy the book. This was a year's worth of drama for me, so I won't be looking for the book before or after this, nor other books from this author. But that does not detract from the interesting way she writes about heavy topics. I got this as an add on for a couple books when I purchased something else and I am not sorry abt the money nor time that I spent on this.
review 2: A touching story of family, friends and a community pulling together after a terrible tragedy. I loved reading Sam and Brian's story, they are such strong character. You laugh with them and cry with them, they are so well developed that you feel like you are
... moreright there with them. It was nice to read about Mallory, Pete, and Polly again (from Christmas on Mimosa Lane) and to catch up on their lives. As for Mimosa Lane, what a beautiful place to live surrounded by amazing people with their own stories of tragedy, love, loss and picking up the pieces and putting them back together. I would highly recommend this book. I am looking forward to meeting more neighbors on Mimosa Lane! less
