review 1: Honestly, this book probably got the rating it did because of so many failure books I've been reading that this one seemed more than decent. So home-slice Zoe is writing a murderer on Death Row to confess her own murder confession. Dude, we all know from the start it had to be an accident of some sort and surprise surprise, it was. (not that this will defer you from the plot at all, we all knew this was coming) However, feeling guilt over this would be something I would totally understand. I will say that maybe putting this book in letter format was a little unrealistic. I mean, this girl writes with so much description and pzazz that I found it surreal at times. I adjusted as the book progressed, but it did phase me for a while. The ending, however, still made me throw it a... moret the wall once I was finished.
review 2: Ketchup clouds is an easy breezy read about fifteen year old Zoe writing touching letters to a prisoner, Mr Stuart Harris. Reading this book felt a period of months. As if I subscribed to receive Zoe's heart-warming letters. The question is, was Zoe guilty?Absolutely not. Max deep down had no feelings for Zoe. Sending a bra-less pic of Zoe around school, hungry for sex and never laughing at her jokes was pretty obvious. WHERE AS AARON... the sweet, charming and handsome really loved Zoe (birdgirl). ME being so adamant thinking Zoe was guilty for running away with Aaron! BUT Aaron's letter... Sad...yes. Unfair...yes. Tragedy...yes. For the better? YES/MAYBE. I'm still contemplating. Anyway, Ketchup Clouds is a must-read only if you love Young Adult :). less
