review 1: I received this book through the Goodreads giveaway and thought it was brilliant. Once I started to read the book I couldn't put it down. I found it to be a suspenseful page-turner that kept me guessing till the end. The identity of the murderer was so unexpected and not remotely whom I thought it would be. I found the book well written,easy to read and easy to keep all the characters straight. I look forward to Anne Cleeland's next book.
review 2: This book was an excellent combination of Elizabeth George and Julia Spencer-Fleming. I opened the book thinking I was going to get a straight up mystery, then the story took a hard left turn. The interpersonal relationships more than the mystery kept me guessing until the end. I'm quite on the fence about the hero's... more Section Seven tendencies. I'm going to have to read the follow up book to see if we're dealing with love, neurosis, or psychopathy. less
