review 1: An intriguing twist on the myth versus the history of the Trojan War, the author reimagines the story of the Amazons. The novel switches between the ancient and modern storylines and includes many parallels between the two threads. Some distracting use of vocabulary - it seemed like some words were used incorrectly. It made me wish I read it on the Kindle so I could look things up. However, the author is Danish, so I make allowances. I certainly couldn't write such a compelling story in my second language!
