review 1: Romance is definitely not my favourite genre. I read this novel while having a medical infusion so it was quite appropriate for the occasion - a pretty unbelievable plot with a little history thrown in and some pretty silly characters. Anne Gracie obviously had great fun writing the sex scenes, they were very imaginative. Her proof reader failed her on at least one occasion putting the horse in two places at the same time. I did get a good laugh when the villain of the piece got his come uppances. Not being a great horse lover I found the heroine's reliance on her equine experiences a wee bit embarrassing.
review 2: Really enjoyed the beginning with the hat and gloves. Overall, the book is fun, a little more than light-hearted, and Harry is quite lovable. The
... more secondary characters were also great additions that are well-fleshed out and definitely makes me look forward to learning more about their own stories.Harry and Nell's painful pasts were presented with no nonsense. It is what it is and the characters moved on with their lives as best as possible, showing their individual strengths. The courtship was quite romantic. My only issue is that it felt a bit one-sided. I would have liked to see Nell caring for Harry more. less

I always end up liking the male leads from this series and this book was no different. Great read!

I have liked some of Anne Gracie's books in the past, but I just did not get into this one.
