review 1: [rape cw]A+++ FAKE BETROTHAL! Also, Freddie is so DELIGHTFULLY in love, doesn't-even-care-who-knows it's sooo endearing. Except, ofc, the heroine who believes nothing and will not until the very end! (i say with love.) That said, POOR DAMARIS! She gets a really sad backstory, with aforementioned rape. IIRC there's discussion of the circumstances and only 1 instance of flashback (short but descriptive), if anyone is worried on that aspect.
