review 1: This book was ok, I liked the concept and the darkness behind it. And it didn't leave off with a terrible cliffhanger so that I'm not forced to look at the rest of the trilogy.Calder and his sisters are out to avenge their mother who fell in love with a human man and was promised a child in return for his life. The human man, Tom Hancock, fled with his family leaving Maris, Pavati, Tallulah and Calder to search for their revenge. Presently Jason Hancock and his family are moving back to his father's estate on the banks of Lake Superior. The perfect setting for revenge. The plan? Seduce his daughter to lure him to the water so they can effectively kill him. The unforeseen factor? Calder falling in love with her. This thrilling novel will leave you gasping for air as ... moreyou watch the struggle, the darkness, and the reality of the monsters of the lake.
review 2: I like this book, the second book is definitely better I'm halfway reading it. But the story for this book is really interesting because it was told from the guys pov and it's really refreshing. Also because it's a mermaid story, the first time I've read about mermaid stories. I would recommend reading this book. I like how unpredictable the events are Because usually some stories can get predictable. :D less
