review 1: Blaise Fortune also known as Koumaïl, enjoys the story about how Gloria was picking preaches for her father’s orchard. She heard a train derail and went to see what had happened. Gloria saw an injured woman who demanded her to take her baby. As Blaise told the story, "I showed him the baby. He put his hand on your cheek and said that you were a miracle" (Bondoux 19). Finally, Blaise likes hearing this story since he lived with Gloria.A very important event Blaise, the baby who was in the accident, turned seven. The Soviet Union collapses and Gloria decided that she and Blaise must escape from troubles in her city. Blaise had a very rough childhood, "I was almost twelve years old the day the customs officers found me in the back of the truck " (Bondoux 41). Both of them ... moremake their way out of France, where Gloria says that they’ll be safe. At last, these events occurred later on after the accident.As Gloria and Blaise are revealed throught the journey across Europe. This story contains lots of unforgettable adventures and hardships looking forward for a better life. As Blaise stated, "It might seem strange, but it’s easy to understand. I just have to tell my story. All of it. And in the right order" (Bondoux 33). However, Blaise adopted a young man who now became someone very important to her. Finally, Gloria is seeing the real Blaise and the person she’d become.Koumaïl is the young man who Blaise adopted. This story contains hope, sacrifice, and a survival of ultimate love. "From this point on I never interrupt Gloria. Each word she says is of the utmost importance " (Bondoux 18). Koumaïl can be the man to save Blaise and Gloria who were in a difficult situation, experiencing many experiences from what happened.
