review 1: I have read this Bible through five(5) times. I am currently on my sixth(6) time and this time with my children. I home school & we used to read portions of Scripture each day, but I thought ~This version is so good and so much easier to go through with little chunks each day from different portions of Scripture.... I am sure we would all benefit from reading the Scripture this way.~ I have enjoyed over the years to see how God consistently says the same things each day in the O.T., N.T., Psalms and Proverbs. The benefit of this version of Scripture (ESV: One Year Bible) is that it is broken up into easy 15~20 minute portions of reading each day in a literal, but beautiful language. This is a meaningful way to read Scripture each day!

... moreink one can write a review on the Bible. To me, this is not a normal book. It keeps me grounded, reminds me to treat others well, to live a life pleasing to God, and most importantly, reminds me of how very much God loves me even when I am at my worst. This is a book that gives me peace. No matter what is going on in my life or how chaotic my world seems, I can open this book, spend some time with God, and feel totally refreshed with a calmness that is unexplainable. If you've ever had a hard time reading through the whole Bible, this is definitely the way to go. A pre-established section of reading for each day is exactly what I needed to stay on track. less
