review 1: I really enjoyed this one!. Luke and Sam have been neighbors for 7 years. They have a great, strong friendship. Sam became a dad when he was 15, and now, about to turn 30, he feels like life passed him by and makes a list of things he has to do in his 20's. He's determined to do them all. Luke had to leave home for 6 months. His mother got really ill and he had to take care of her. Before he left to see her he found Sam's list and took it with him everywhere he went. At first he didin't really know why, but then, after a while, it was obvious and undeniable: he was in love with his best friend and neighbor, Sam.The day he comes back home and meet he stick to his plan of helping Sam through his list, which includes: doing something sexually taboo.Though Sam seems somewhat ... moreoblivious to it all, it's rather sweet to see him struggle on putting a name to his feelings. It also was (at,least for me), a bit frustrating at times.I loved the ending. I loved the sense of family I got from this book from the very beginning. I enjoyed that everyone around them seemed to be so keen on them and their relationship.The story is really sweet. It has its rather sad moments but I didn't think they were super angsty... Just the right amount ;).
review 2: This book was a really well written friends to lovers book. Usually in this kind of books either the friendships don't sound real, or the romance feels a bit cringe-worthy because the characters feel like brothers. This was the perfect balance because it gave Sam (the clueless one) time to stop looking at Luke in a brotherly way. It was a very enjoyable read for me. Oh, and I loved the massage-sex part. I usually just skim the sex parts in the books because I find them boring, but this one was hot! less
