review 1: Chiro, the little bat in Nightsong is so adorably cute one might think an animator created him for a movie. Loren Long's illustrations are exceptional. His night scenes have texture, depth and visibility. The visibility echolocation creates for Chiro is very clear. Great book to connect to the PebbleGo Animals database, Austin's unofficial animal, the five senses, animal adaptations, and other Science topics. less
