review 1: So holy shit this was the cheesiest paranormal book I have ever read. Yes it was a fun little chick lit, but it wasn't ha ha laugh out loud funny. Hated all the characters cept Sly and Nathan. Everyone else just bugged me. The lead characters, OMG Jason was a whiney bitch for a shape shifter, UGH! Merry was a freaking rolling stone, one minute she's for it then next it's a different story -_- Man I don't even know if I wanna continue this, but I wanna see how Roz, Nathan and Sly stories go.

Chase also had a habit of telling rather than showing the developing relationship between Merry and Jason. However, as the story progressed, I adjusted to Chase's style of writing and the reading became easier.Overall though, I will admit I enjoyed the book, mainly because of the quirky characters and the surprises in the plot. I'm inclined to give the next book a try just to see what happens between Roz and Konrad. Hopefully the writing has improved. less
