review 1: This book, along with this entire series is incredible, and absolutely one of my all-time favorites. Each character is very unique with their own qualities, and the weapon-mister relationships are so perfect. I mean, I understand that that is the point, and that for a weapon and mister to be able to work together, their souls must be compatible, but I honestly feel that the author went above and beyond when coming up with character concepts. Every relationship in this has it's own special, unique feeling. There's someone for everyone, and I know that if you read this you will find someone (if not multiple someone's) that you relate to. In my opinion, this first book does a wonderful job of opening up the series and introducing all the concepts and I can't wait to finish th... moree whole epic saga!
review 2: Initial reaction: Why the heck was all that near-nudity necessary? This over-sexualization of female characters is why anime and manga has such a bad reputation in the west. (And yes, it's very much the girls only. There were numerous opportunities for the guys to be disrespected and they weren't.)Think about this: if you're angering a very laid-back, anti-feminist, maybe you should reconsider what you're drawing. less
