review 1: As you can tell from the cover, this is definitely scifi erotica. While there are futuristic intrigue and aliens, there is much more sex than anything else. This book does have a plot underpinning all the sex, which includes a lot of manipulations and secrets. Overall it was an easy read, the names were different enough that I didn't get lost, and there were enough characters for the intrigue, but not so many as to get confusing. There wasn't much in the way of character development, unless you consider one character learning to be a submissive, but that wasn't the purpose of the book.
review 2: I am a lover of SciFi and I've just written an erotic romance myself, so finding this was like waking up on Christmas morning. When the story opened with Mal Ton or the
... more sexy Commander Adoha, I got myself all geared up to see him in an HEA, of sorts. However, the writer had other ideas. The SciFi plot was intricate and well-written and the science supporting it sounded plausible to someone like myself who isn't a scientific type at all. Even the war-torn planets and their inhabitants were very interesting to me. In places, it was hard to keep up with what was going on. However, as I continued, I was eventually able to figure it all out. The echoes of BDSM used as a way to torture captives into cooperating during interrogation wasn't explored as fully as I might have liked. The intergalactic social mores were very intriguing, and the description of the mating practices of the Stilox was a clever device to explain the prevalance of the menege a trois as the dominant form of sexual expression. I was all geared up to see Andrea and Roark together with Mal Ton as a second for this reason, but that didn't happen. My disappointment in that development is probably why I couldn't award it any more than three stars. I liked this story a lot and if you like Erotic Romance with a SciFi flavor, you will not be disappointed. less

So far, a good series. Not so crazy sci-fi that it's hard to imagine.

This actually has a plot, as well as m/f/m sex. Not bad.
