review 1: I like it.It felt a bit like a new agey type of book, because at some part it felt like it was like jumping from scene to scene/conversation to conversation. Like with the way the characters communicated. I liked how January wasn't always nice. She was pretty snobby, and even though you shouldn't like it, it made you like her a bit more. She was mean and honest and that was refreshing. I always enjoyed how the author down played how "good-looking" Christian was, even if he had such a badass name.Impromptu road trips are always cool too.
review 2: Angsty StarsReview by Natasha GentileHow do you lose everything? Ask January Cooper. She had everything, a mansion, many, many Christian Louboutins, a closet full of gorgeous designer clothes, two horses, not one but
... moretwo, and of course let's not forget the Nascar fiance! I know you hate her already, I mean anyone that has Christian Louboutins are on my sh*t list- well maybe not on the list but I'm super jealous, and I'm ok with that, or at least I was until her father got arrested for securities fraud, stock fraud, mail fraud. Lots of fraud, really. So her father is arrested and her now credit cards are cancelled, the rent check is bouncing, same with the phone bill. Basically, she has nothing. She has to move back to dare I say, her dorm room, €(shudder the thought) ¦Oh, and did I mention she has a roommate who stole her boyfriend, (which is not ok, but considering that she was such a whiny, little, inconsiderate debutant, I can see it happening. I really disliked her at the beginning; I mean regardless of her closet. (which I'm still jealous of, but that's not the point) So now she has zero dollars, no friends, no fiance, and she can't talk to her parents because the phones are tapped. What is she going to do..EEEKKK she has to get a job.! Just the thought of having to do that, must have sent her back to her room to cuddle with her Louboutins. She walks into a bar, looking for the bartender to apply for an advertised opening..and then she meets him, "Sex on a Limp" (he has a limp from an injury) oh sorry his name is Christian Cutlass.. Christian is a former hockey player, as a Canadian we love love love hockey, I mean lets face it it's the only sport we've got! ¦But he's also the only one who sees right through her and doesn't pity her and could care less that her life is broken, because his life is a shell. It's a nightmare and she irritates the hell out of him; not because she's broke and annoying and she really knows nothing about bartending, but because he's irritated that he sees what no one else does; he sees love. He also likes that she sees him as the man he is today and not who he used to be and what he lost one night when he was nineteen years old. They have a love/hate relationship..At one point I wanted them to both strangle each other..They got on my nerves. But as the story unfolded, I started to fall for both of them. They go on this crazy road trip from New York to Texas. I didn't think it was a good idea, I actually thought one of them would kill the other and bury the body! "I'm not letting you drive me to Dallas." "Why Not?" "Because, we would kill each other." "We'll be fine. I won't kill you.""We won't be fine." "Why won't we be fine?" "Because she said I'll kill you."Guess I wasn't the only one who thought it was a bad idea! But it turned out to be their best idea yet. They learned each others pro's and con's, so many con's...but the pro's, together it made sense. "I don't know, Christian, because, like I said, I'm a total psychopath and I think I'm falling in love with you, which is really f***ing weird, and I'm worried that...""You're in love with me?" "I said I think. Maybe. Falling," I looked at him seriously. "Don't put words in my mouth." He chuckled. "Wow." "What?" He looked so good. A day of stubble, his eyes dancing playfully with mine, blue eyes, hair uncombed and messy. "You're in love with me." I rolled my eyes. "Right, but like I said I"m a total psychopath." He smiles. "Well that's good because I f*cking worship you."So can these two stubborn, broken people overcome the obstacles that face them? Can Christian move passed his grief and see what he could have in his life? Is January destined to stay the spoiled, although broke and penniless spoiled, little girl? This one was truly a wonderful bumpy ride..and I would definitely do it again. less

3.5 stars. This was cute, but parts felt rushed, while other parts dragged on.
