A Cheese Shop Mystery
review 1: The delightful part of this book is in its charm. The owner of a Cheese Shop in the middle of a winter festival is trying to help her coworker whose boyfriend is accused of murder. As a person whose knowledge of cheese is limited to American, Cheddar, and Mozzarella, I was kind of fascinated by the types of cheese that were described throughout the book. The small town atmosphere was also very enjoyable as it reminded me a little of my own upbringing. That said, I thought the book was a little hard to remain completely engaged at times. There are a lot of characters (thankfully, there is a list of characters in the beginning) and can be difficult to keep track of which character is which. In addition, I felt that the characters and plot could have been more developed as w... moreell.
review 2: This is the third book in The Cheese Shop series and I do wonder what other mysteries Charlotte has encountered. And I'll admit that I was lost with the sudden mass of characters. All of which apparently don'tneed to be introduced except for a newbie in this series like me. But soon enough, things started getting clearer in my head, and I'm good to go along with the story.I think CLOBBERED BY CAMEMBERT is a good mystery, I actually didn't really guess right who the murderer is, not until the same time Charlotte realizes who the murder is.The writing is good, the story flows smoothly, although I expect more action and plot development and not talking and internal conflict. There are the interesting suspects, tension, conflicts, a vivid description of winter, county fairs and country life.I believe the author has great potential, this book isn't perfect, but it also has good attributes. CLOBBERED BY CAMEMBERT is a fast, clean read, has a good mystery coupled with love conflicts, drama, intrigue and murder. I would love to read more mystery from this author.*review copy provided by FreshfictionTo see full review. visit Freshfiction.com less

This is a great mystery, but some words seemed too archaic for a contemporary story.
