review 1: It's a charming little visit to this world. It's a romance with a little bit of magic and steampunk, which is something I'd like to see more of. However, the writing style is still a bit immature (it reads like a fanfiction, not a book), with somewhat flat characters, and the story itself is a bit predictable. If it was targeted at a younger audience, I think maybe it might fly a little better, but there are some parts that are borderline explicit and not suitable for younger readers. Overall, I feel that this is something that wasn't developed enough before being published.
review 2: Delightful addition to A. W. Exley's Artifact Hunters series featuring Cara's friend, Amy Hamilton who has been enduring social ostracism for the crime of being a loyal friend
... more. In this novella, we learn more about Jackson, one of the men who guard Nate and Cara. He has a rough exterior with a kind heart beneath it. That rascal of a pirate, Loki, talks Jackson into taking a bet with him as to who can win a kiss from Amy first and the fun begins.Amy learns more about the person she wants to be and we get to enjoy watching this fun romp unfold. There is plenty of action, some wonderful new steampunk devices and a sweet romance. I'm not going to reveal who gets the girl . . . you'll have to read this one yourself to find that out! Enjoy! :-) less

Nice little novella, but read at least the first one in series or the characters won't make sense.
