review 1: This was another book I won through a Goodreads giveaway, and I loved everything about it! Part historical fiction, part chick-lit, with a little bit of mystery thrown in, this novel drew me in from the first page. Had I not started reading this during the busy month of December I could have probably finished this in one or two sittings. The setting was beautiful...I really liked how Peak's went from being a tobacco plantation in Adele's time to a winery in Leslie's time. Loved the author's writing style and language she used. A quick, fun read, especially for people who enjoy stories set in the South.

When I was younger I read incessantly, but h... moreave read very few novels recently that were able to hold my attention. I enjoyed this book tremendously. Ms. Davis kept my attention very easily with her debut as a novelist. I have only one word to give regarding this book: BRAVO! Thank you for the journey into your imagination. I look forward to many more. less
