review 1: Wow, what a wonderful book. I really like this author. Every book by her has been wonderful and this one didn't disappoint. It's about life and asks many questions. Is there a God? Why is there evil? What do bad things happen to good people? What is my responsibility in life? What can I do?Elsa has a crises of faith. She has had them before, but this one is different. She has to work through all these questions. It's an amazing journey.
review 2: This is an excellent story of love, loss and redemption through nature. I really identified with the characters especially Alexa and Elsa. One a young woman who falls in love for the first time and the other a woman my age who questions her place on the world after a tragedy. The novel was beautiful in its i... moremagery and the recipes in the back look yummy. It made me want to visit Pueblo and Spain. The story was relevant and rang true. I really liked Tamsin, Deacon and Father Jack too. Who knows I may even take up quilting less
