review 1: Na dúvida entre dar 3 estrelas ou 4, acabei por dar 4 uma vez que é um livro que nos faz viajar até à Turquia e ver, nitidamente, o Bósforo a correr à nossa frente. Os "Fragmentos de Uma Vida" fazem também uma história muito interessante, muito mais do que a do próprio livro. Por mim, podiam contar só essa história, assim um género de "Uma Espia no Meu passado" mas sem ser espia, claro. Não deixa de ser um ponto negativo que esse trecho da história, embora ocupe grande parte do livro, seja mais interessante do que o plot principal. Na verdade, a escrita de Barbara é interessante e daí a pontuação escolhida mas diria que é mais um 3,5.
review 2: It's been a long time since I've read a Barbara Taylor Bradford book. I wonder if my reading tastes... more have changed or if this one is just a dud for me. Dialogue was forced, cheesy, even. Not much of a plot, couldn't really believe the characters. She tried to add intrigue from a couple angles but it just kind of fell flat. Only redeeming part for me was the setting of Istanbul and reading of some of the sights there. less
