review 1: I didn't think this was one of Barbara Taylor Bradford's best, as it had no real depth and I found some the writing quite amateur for a very well established author. The main characters are Serena and her sisters Jessica and Cara. Serena is a war photographer, like her father who has recently died, part owning a photographic agency with Harry, her father's best friend. Zac is a former love, also a war photographer, who is suffering from post traumatic stress disorder, and Harry asks Serena to care for him. He makes progress, as does their relationship, until he decides to go to Libya for one last trip....
review 2: First of all, i read about 200 pages and there were no secrets to be had! I admit, i didn't finish this book because...nothing happened. There
... more was no exciting drama - not even a smidge of exciting drama. After 200 pages i gave up. The characters were so terribly vanilla. The main character Serena was extremely polite, well-behaved and responsible. She is 30 going on 55. Her sisters are also terribly polite. I know NO sisters that are this polite and caring and loving. I found their relationships so fake and unrealistic. The "bad boy" if there is one - Zac- a photographer suffering through PTSD was also bland. Apparently, the audience missed out on his crazy, hot-temper days because those happened before our story began. I finally gave up on this book last night. Maybe it suddenly got great but after 200 pages, i expected SOMETHING to happen. I did like the author's writing, her descriptions of the locations was quite colorful and lovely. less

2.5 stars. Felt the story kept repeating itself.
