review 1: Belinda Alexandra really knows how to hook her readers and pull them in with each page. The old woman's story is the real story of the book and is truly captivating as well as interesting. My heart broke while reading and I found myself almost wanting to scream in frustration at Natalya and Orlov but I couldn't help but love the characters and their development. This book I found myself flying through the pages as if the story was an actual real juicy piece of history. I would highly recommend this book but only if you have time to be hooked.
review 2: A great read, it's no secret that historical fiction is my favourite, and this story really fed my addiction. Switching between present-day and World War II Moscow, we are slowly introduced into the mysterious li
... morefe of a young Russian fighter pilot, Natalya Azarova. She experiences tragedy over and over again, much like many of the families who lived through Stalin's USSR. The supporting plot of present-day Moscow was captivating and well-written. Highly recommended! less
