review 1: Can't understand how this book got such good reviews by everyone else. I think it was ok but not more. I thought the plot was badly thought out and the characters poorly explained. Also, the end came too quickly, i.e. all of a sudden everyone believes what Patrick says and they change their behaviour. Moreover, the ending would have been great if the relationship within Patrick's family was better discribed.
review 2: I struggled to get my teeth into this at first, but was eventually pretty hooked. I had no Idea where the plot was going, so I enjoyed watching the plot unravel. I'm not sure if it was the author's voice or something else that bothered me, but something puts me off rating this higher. At times I felt that the description of Patrick and his Asp... moreerger's syndrome was too much- the repetition of 'he didn't answer statements' irritated me and the way some things were spelled out a bit too much. But an interesting read and an enjoyable book. Beware if you're squeamish!! less
