review 1: Another great novel by Belinda Bauer who was recommended to me by one of my Goodread friends. The second novel in this mini series and I do recommend you read them in order as they do give things away otherwise. I think the strength in her writing are the strong characters she creates and the excellent narratives. This book had me on the edge of my seat as I tried to unravel the climax. I enjoyed this book so much I instantly picked up the 3rd book in the series.
review 2: A great mystery and cleverly constructed plot about serial killings of aged and infirm people in a village in Exmoor in England. I'm generally not a great fan of crime fiction, but having recently enjoyed the author's latest book (Rubbernecker) I thought I'd go back to her first books, which ... morecomprise separate stories, but with connected characters. I like books with a difference and set in "interesting" locations and wasn't disappointed with this second one. Only negative is that I found the ending, which revealed the killer, to be rather odd and somewhat disappointing. less
