review 1: It's been a long time since I've been so absorbed by a book. Enough to read it on my way to work, to look forward to any sort of break and the end of the day when I could return to it, to feel sorry when it ended. Equal parts funny, sincere, down to earth and up in the clouds, lucid and ephemeral, at times challenging and almost elusive, but never daunting, inspiring. With a character so fully realized, I find it hard to believe 90% of it wasn't drawn from personal experience. Full of fascinating insights into the nature of art, making and experiencing it (or pretending to ;)). Spain, language, communication etc. A lot of things packed in not very many pages.

Intimately self-narrated. Reminds me of "Catcher in the Rye". I can't wait to read "10:04".
