review 1: I just can't seem to get behind this bible study. I have read 1 and 2 Thessalonians many times, but Beth Moore's content seems stretched out and more commentary oriented than a true bible study. I have done James and Revalation by her, and enjoyed them immensely, but this seems like much more than what is needed for the study. I take away two main points from Thessalonians: Christ will come again, and do not be idle. Of course there is more, but those are the main take-aways for me. This could easily be a 6 week course instead of a 5-6 month course that we are doing. I wish blessings and goodness to all my Christ Sisters and I hope that all of you enjoy the goodness of our Lord.
review 2: I enjoyed Beth Moore's Children of the DAY Bible study on I and II Thessa
... morelonians very much. I learned some new things and love how she applies the scripture to modern times. I also like how she brings in scripture from other books related to the same topic. This study seemed a bit less time consuming than some of her other ones because there are fewer fill-ins and questions to answer. Much is just reading her commentary about the book. I loved it!I highly recommend that you also get the DVD that goes along with the study. I did this with a group at church and the DVD enhances the experience--she's pretty funny at times. less
