review 1: This is a wonderful poetry book for kids. The poems are illustrated in shapes and inside pictures unique to each poem which would delight students while reading. The poems are all about dogs (and a few cats) portraying each animal as an individual in a childlike way which would be very appealing to students. Each poem is written in language which is easy for children to understand. This poem book is a great way start teaching poem structure or rhyme to children.
