review 1: Another episode in the exciting life of the warm and delightful Molly Pink. The main clue is probably the most improbable so far, yet the scenario was an all-too-common situation and the characters were once again completely true to life. This time, Vampire fiction is the backdrop for the action. I didn't guess whodunnit or who the mystery author was.Without giving details, I never find the main story arc tiresome in this series: the character's lives move forward in a believable and involving way. I look forward to reading the next book.(There is no cover picture for this edition but I read the large-print hardback from Wheeler publishing, with the lace and skull design on the cover.)
review 2: Molly's neighbor has disappeared, and when his wallet and cellphon
... moree are found on the boat to Catalina, it's assumed he was a suicide, probably because the investment scheme he had enrolled many people in was coming undone. Mrs. Shedd, the owner of the bookstore where Molly works, had given the man a lot of money and she wants Molly to investigate. Naturally, Molly's cop boyfriend warns her to keep away, but she never listens to him. An entertaining read. less

Cute only for the crochet references but won't read another one in this series.
