review 1: I was drawn to this book because I like cozy mysteries. Then there was the added benefit of the book being set in "Cadbury by the Sea" aka "Carmel by the Sea," a place my husband and I really love. Unfortunately, it took me a while to get into this book. It was difficult to connect with the heroine, although I'm not sure why. As time went on, though, I really enjoyed Casey, not the least of which was because we share a first name. At about the halfway point, I was hooked. I'll definitely read the next in this series! So be patient, enjoy, and don't forget to pick up those knitting needles.

... moreanager of the resort and a friend's husband in the book were total asses. Most annoying was the way her inability to "finish anything" was constantly brought up. Like everybody is supposed to pick a job, love it, and stay with it forever, and trying something else is so horrible! I will still give a sequel a chance, but I hope those things take a back seat in future books. less
