review 1: I loved the historical aspects of this book and the descriptions of what happens with the tears of Jesus exploded into my soul. As long as I remembered that this was a book of fiction I could hang in there. I enjoyed so much Scripture and felt I learned a lot about the culture of Jesus' time. I did not enjoy the license the authors took with a couple of the main characters. I am not sure how they came to the conclusion of who Mary was but it really messed with me and I almost quit reading. I gave this book 4 stars because I enjoyed it a lot but am not sure I am going to read the rest of the books in this series. I think you can have a fiction book and not mess with the Bible at the same time.
review 2: I think this first book of the Jerusalem Chronicles was ju
... morest as good a piece as the AD Chronicles. Told in first person by Lazarus, this story lacked nothing needed to make a good story. I really enjoyed this book, even though I couldn't exactly figure at what time does this story take place, as it seems to have many events for Seventh Day and yet again First Light....Despite any minor flaws, I still loved this story. I was also very pleased to see the same characters from the AD Chronicles. The Thoenes's have done it again! And I'm definitely awaiting more new books from them. less

Amazing story from the point of view of Lazarus. During the same time as the A.D. Chronicles.

I really wanted to like this book but it didn't keep my interest and bored me so I moved on.
