review 1: Got this free from Amazon (thanks to Katrina for discovering it for me) and it just has really cute gift giving ideas using jars and great recipes. I like that not only did it have desserts, but random stuff like soups, popcorn spices, drinks, bread, etc. They all sound delicious, and the directions were very straightforward and easy and gave great tips to for decorating and just the baking in general. This book also comes with a ton of labels and stuff to add to the jars if you gift them, haven't checked them out but from the pictures they seem cute. Even if you don't plan on gifting, these recipes look fun to make at home. Now I just need a cooking/baking partner to experiment with these then I'll be all set :p
review 2: I was expecting just the standard cook
... moreie mixes, but was pleasantly surprised to also find mixes for almost everything from popcorn to chili spices, to muffins and breads. I might only use a couple - I don't like giving gifts which assume the recipient has too much on hand (and some of these recipes require almost as many ingredients again to make up) but there's a really nice variety here. The website also lists multiple designs for labels and covers. Haven't checked it out yet, but with 2000 designs I'm sure I'll find something! less

Lots of great ideas. The soup mixes caught my attention; I like gifts that aren't sweets.
