review 1: My friend has been looking for a good nutritional guide for veganism for a long while, and while this one isn't meant for the average vegan, I'd say it's the perfect guide for new vegans. It's so jam packed with information. Nutritional information in it is unbiased. While it does promote a largely raw vegan diet, it also includes the history of raw veganism and information on benefits of cooking certain foods. It doesn't force the concept of eating entirely raw on a person unlike certain youtubers I've watched. It gives you detailed information that may overwhelm you, but is also perfect to make you super confident of being healthy when undertaking this new lifestyle.
review 2: Finally finished this one! It took me a long time, not because it was a bad book, b
... moreut because it is so dense with information! The information is scientifically based and sound. Also, the arguments for or against raw are fairly made and the book is full of tons of useful nutritional information. I would certainly recommend this book to anyone interested in altering their diet to a whole foods, plant-based diet whether or not you are planning on going raw. less
