review 1: Une jolie histoire digne d'un conte de fée ... La superstar et l'anonyme. Quelques bémols cependant, un fin un peu trop abrupte, une histoire mal répartie (la partie Whiskey creek aurait mérité d'être plus développée pour que la rédemption de Simon paraisse moins facile) et une héroïne qui agit les deux tiers du bouquin plus comme une attachée de presse qu'une femme ce qui rends son amour moins vraisemblable alors qu'a contrario Simon agit en être humain. Il est le point fort du livre.
review 2: Simon, a hunky movie star, and Gail, his publicist (ex-publicist, actually) enter into a temporary marriage of convenience. Gail had dropped Simon as a client, because he was self-destructing & wouldn't listen to her. He (or his agent) retaliated by pulling... more most of her clients from her agency.They will both gain something from this marriage. She needs to get him away from the public eye & away from temptation for his vices, so she brings him to her hometown. They set up house & begin to care for each other, while not telling anyone it was a ruse. Simon's ex-wife (who is evil) has a strong pull on him due to their shared young son, whom she is holding from him. He will do anything to get his son, which is his primary reason for the marriage of convenience. The story unfolds with insecurity back & forth between them, depending on the circumstances. I really enjoyed reading this & got through it pretty quickly. I see that this is first in the series & will definitely read the others! less
