review 1: So this book explains everything. It explains why when I've gone to church in the end I feel further from God than when I began. It explains the hypocrisy of those who use their "faith" to justify their politics. There has always been a Third Party, a Third Way a power that is independent. What a relief. We are all slow learners. Over 2000 years to finally get it. Now that Brian Z has helped us see the truth we have no excuse. We must do better.
review 2: I found this book slightly disappointing. I applaud Zhand's ideals, and agree that we need to be peace-seeking Christians, but I found his exegesis was lacking. I was hoping he would have a good explanation for why God is portrayed so frequently in the Old Testament as tribal and warlike. Did God really comma

While I like the gospels, the sermon on the mount, and all things Jesus, I felt like the author basically ignored 90% of the Bible. I saw another reviewer complain that Zhand is all sizzle and no steak...that is pretty spot-on for this book, at least. less
